The pillars protruding from the historic perimeter wall draw an obligatory vertical rhythm characteristic of the building, which we wanted to enhance rather than hide by choosing to insert rectangular boiseries on the historic walls that align with the window and French door openings, emphasizing the rhythm of the architectural elements.

In the center of Cagliari, on the third floor of the prestigious Palazzo Doglio complex, we were asked to breathe new life into a four-room apartment. The elegant context, characterized by the innate elegance of classic taste, inspired many design choices that, looking to the style of the past, invest the rooms with newfound contemporaneity. The heart of the house is undoubtedly the large open space that houses the living area, where the kitchen becomes a convivial and absolutely shared space thanks to the peninsula where the cooktop intersects with the snack counter, ready to welcome guests for an informal aperitif as well as quick family meals.

The choice of furniture, also the subject of in-depth study, has allowed for warming the atmosphere even more thanks to the choice of soft forms that repeat in the living area with enveloping seats, as well as in the round dining table that plays a starring role, earning its own space. The kitchen and TV wall, custom-made with a linear and timeless design, contrast and complement the softness expressed by the movable furniture.

Around the living area, soft lights stand out on the curtains, concluding the work; The same lights illuminate the full-height headboard designed for the master bedroom. To this luminous perimeter are added individual light points, sometimes discreet recessed spotlights, sometimes characteristic pendant compositions that reserve their beams of light for the areas that need them most, such as the kitchen counter and dining table. On the walls, along with the characteristic boiseries, there is space for art pieces such as paintings or installations that make this apartment a continuous discovery.
