In the residential context of Cagliari, our renovation project for a second-floor apartment was inspired by a vision of open and permeable spaces, creating a fluid and continuous environment that captures the essence of contemporary living.

The design philosophy expresses itself through the desire to open the spaces as much as possible, creating a space where connectivity and fluidity are key elements. The project’s fresh elegance is made possible by the wise use of light-toned onyx surfaces and the warm wood floors and coverings.

In the living area, a fireplace creates an enveloping atmosphere, and the dining room, conceived as a large open space with the living room, embraces conviviality and sociability, inviting the sharing of precious moments. The kitchen, though distinct by a filter wall, adopts a seamless approach. Classic doors are replaced by movable partition walls that define spaces without limiting them, unifying rather than disjoining.

The sleeping area, while maintaining its intimate dimension, is characterized as an extension of the living area. The hallway, the quintessential separator, becomes a natural path that reinforces the sense of permeability, a central concept of the design.

The essence of this project lies in creating a harmonious environment where spaces interpenetrate, and every element, though distinct in its individuality, contributes to creating an overall architectural symphony.

Light dances on warm-toned surfaces, design manifests in architectural forms and the choice of furniture and accessories, functionality merges with aesthetics, transforming this apartment into a contemporary and timeless home.
