A floor-to-ceiling fixed glass panel reveals the shower from the living area, a curious trick that allows for visual continuity between a shared space like the living room and a more private and intimate one, in the quest for permeability that, though not tangible, is suggested and imagined.
Along the edge of the city’s historic center, in the Villanova district, we were commissioned to restyle the interiors of several apartments created from the subdivision of the original property. The apartment in question, a three-room type, is characterized by a layout with strict, linear shapes.
The scene opens directly onto the spacious living area. Upon entering, a markedly darker frame envelops the floor and ceiling, marking the transition to the sleeping area and creating a perspective play that focuses the gaze towards the back of the room. Here, the sofa area is defined by the TV wall, covered in the same veined, glossy material as the floor, which rises seamlessly. This fluidity is interrupted by a simple line of light that reflects on the glossy finish and continues on the ceiling, delicately and decisively breaking what seemed to be a single entity.

The master bedroom, served by a dedicated bathroom, develops like a true suite. The headboard of the bed echoes the colors and materials of the living area, structuring the space with the combination of coverings that emphasize the vertical dimension, giving it more breath.
The choice of dark sanitary ware and fixtures makes even the bathroom a welcoming and elegant environment, in combination with the glossy marble effect in warmer tones. Again, a line of light accompanies the space along its main dimension, framing it and creating a play of luminous reflections capable of enriching the space with a single gesture.
The project’s theme runs through the use of materials and light that together separate and unite the spaces; the ensemble is simultaneously linear and soft, simple yet seeking a distinctive elegance that endures over time.
